Announcing our wonderful Featured Item for the mon Announcing our wonderful Featured Item for the month of June: a set of seven hand-painted botanical cabinet plates by Minton, ca. 1825.⁠ ⁠ Each plate displays a single fabulous botanical flower filling the center and stretching onto the border. Several plates show butterflies and other insects hovering around the flower. The edge of each dish is beautifully gilded.⁠ ⁠ We have been in business for 58 years, and the flowers on these cabinet plates are among the most beautiful we have ever owned. 🤍💙 These six exquisite Chinese blue and whit 🤍💙 These six exquisite Chinese blue and white porcelain dishes were painted in the Kangxi era circa 1700. Hand-painted using both soft and dark cobalt blue, each dish is very slightly different from the others in the set. The decoration is exquisite. At the center of each dish, there are two flowering peonies emanating from rockwork. The vases were painted in traditional polychrome colors showing a waterside scene filled with flowers and songbirds. Panels show a waterside scene with long-tailed birds painted yellow, blue, green, and a rich shade of over the glaze iron-red. One bird flies above, and one bird rests among beautiful flowers.
