18th Century Creamware Custard Cup


This is an exquisite 18th-century creamware custard cup and lid. Made in Yorkshire or Staffordshire, England, circa 1780, the cup has a beautiful rope twist handle with flower terminals. The cover has an outstanding flower finial. The cup and the cover have elegant impressed vertical fluting that adds visual interest. The underside with a paper label for the prominent antique English pottery dealer Gary Atkins.
