A pair of 18th century Delft chargers in the “Theeboom” pattern showing a tea plant with a fan-shaped bouquet of leaves and flowers. This is one of the most beautiful patterns created for 18th century Delft chargers, which explains why it was so popular at the time.
The pattern is lush and full of color. The decoration totally fills the well of the charger. On the border are medallions and scroll designs. The chargers have scalloped edges which add another beautiful dimension. Both chargers have the mark of De Klaauw “The Claw” for Delft made under the supervision of Lambertus Sanderus (1763-1806).
