1 in stock

An early 18th century Chinese blue and white porcelain charger painted in deep cobalt blue with an overall pattern showing beautiful peonies among leaves. They are known as the flower of wealth and honor. Peonies are adored by the Chinese for their large size and bold colors.

The back of the charger is decorated with flowering vines in the traditional style of Qianlong reign chargers, circa 1760 (see images). On the bottom of the charger is a Chinese four character mark surrounded by a double circle all in underglaze blue.
