A continental monteith hand-painted with peonies and other flowers in the Feuille de Choux pattern. This form was used in the 18th and early 19th century as a wine glass rinser. Today this piece would be a lovely addition on any table as an antique porcelain flower planter for orchids or any seasonal flower. The Choux pattern was first popularized in the 18th century at Sevres, the factory of the King of France.
