History
Drabware is made with dark clay as compared with other colored earthenwares, which are made with a white body and then tinted with glazes. Drabware colors vary from light taupe to dark olive. Wedgwood introduced drabware in the early 19th century.
Decorator’s Tip
These antique Wedgwood drabware cups and saucers will look fabulous with anything! The “greige” color (grey + beige) match almost every color and can provide balance to a table setting with patterned dinnerware.
