We are excited to offer this Apt centerpiece. This extraordinary piece was made by combining clay slips of light and dark brown, gray-blue, and cream colors. The tight multicolored patterns were formed by wedging the colored clays together, cutting and rolling them like pastry, before molding the clay into this form. The next step in the process was the addition of the handles, the feet, and the top edge made of light colored creamware. The creamware (faience fine) handles are beautifully decorated in the form of branches with leaf terminals.

All the creamware is covered in a faint yellowish glaze traditional to Apt.
