This Chinese Export dish is painted in grisaille, iron-red, and gilt and shows a shepherdess in a straw hat seated beside a tree trunk. She is holding a lamb at her side. Her skin is picked out in flesh tones, her lips in iron red. The border has a gilt spearhead band and a gilded design (slightly faded) along the outer edge.
