Chinese Porcelain Blue and White Platter Hand-Painted, 18th Century, Circa 1770
A Chinese blue and white porcelain platter hand-painted in the Qianlong dynasty in the 18th century. We see a beautiful garden scene painted in deep cobalt blue with oversized peonies, a pair of songbirds, and a second pair of birds flying above. The wide border has a lovely floral decoration. The shape of the platter is a traditional Chinese export cut-cornered rectangle.
