A large French porcelain centerpiece with putti supporting a pierced basket. The pierced basket (corbeille) is oval shaped. The putti are made in the bisque, seated on a oval base.
This centerpiece was made by Samson & Cie, a porcelain manufactory which began in the early 19th century and continued into the first half of the 20th century.
The basket and stand are elegant and dramatic.
