Mario Buatta Collection FBB Worcester Pattern 4 Hand-Painted Cups & Saucers
We called this “Mario’s Pattern.” It is a fabulous pattern with unexpected color combinations, which Mario Buatta collected for decades.
Whenever our shop, Bardith, found pieces of this pattern, we would contact Mario.
He would come into the shop, and we would show him what we had acquired in the pattern.
As often as not, Mario would announce, “That’s not my pattern! ”
But it was, and he would purchase whatever pieces we had.
This set of four hand-painted cups and saucers was made by Flight Barr and Barr Worcester circa 1820.
Because he loved this pattern, we’ve added this set to the Mario Buatta Collection, even though it was from a New England collection and not Mario’s estate.
When we purchased this set, we also purchased a set of three cups and saucers in another pattern that Mario often bought from Bardith.
Dimensions: diameter of saucers 5″ height of cups 2.5″.
