This pair of antique pearl-glazed creamware dishes is hand painted in bright colors featuring a dragon like mythical animal, a kylin, in the central rondel. This is a lively, whimsical pattern which was very popular when it was made at the beginning of the 19th century. Made in England by Minton circa 1810. This pattern is sometimes known as the “Crazy Cow” pattern.
