Set of 15 Drabware Dishes with 3 Serving Pieces Ridgway England c-1830

Ridgway made this set of fifteen Drabware earth-toned dishes in the Neoclassical style circa 1830.
Drabware is unlike other pottery. The rich color of all drabware stems from the fact that each piece is created using dark clay rather than white clay, which gets colored and glazed. Transparent glaze over dark clay produces drabware’s naturally rich, saturated color.
Pressed out in a mold, this eye-catching set of drabware has a raised decoration of palmettes around a central roundel. A wide border of grape leaves on the vine and a lobed edge finish this elegant design.
Dimensions: 8″ in diameter
Condition: Excellent
Price: $2400 for the set of fifteen
Wedgwood made the first English drabware at the beginning of the 19th century, circa 1800.
