Spode Dish with Garden Scene England Circa 1810
With its lively garden scene, this dish would be beautiful on a table in the living room.
It would also be a perfect “Hello” dish when placed near the front door to hold your keys and other small things.
The combination of the colors makes this dish such a delight. We see pink, and orange flowers and blue flowers edged in gold. Bright green leaves highlight the other colors.
Hovering above the flowers, we see a small butterfly. Blue crosshatched diamonds ring the center scene. The border of the dish has flower sprigs and three fantastical long-tailed birds painted in pink, yellow and turquoise.
Spode made this pearlware dish circa 1810.
