Large Blue and White Hand-Painted Chinese Porcelain Platter 18th Century C-1780

$1,760.00

This large Chinese porcelain platter was hand-painted in cobalt blue during the Qianlong period, circa 1780.
The platter depicts a beautiful seaside landscape with a pagoda, garden fence, rockwork, and three trees known as the Three Friends of Winter: pine, bamboo, and plum.
These trees symbolize steadfastness, perseverance, and resilience as they do not wither in winter.
The border is painted in a deep blue floral design, which creates a lovely frame for the central scene.

The platter measures 16.5″ x 13″.
