History of creamware:
Creamware, a type of earthenware with a light-colored body, was created in the 1760s by Josiah Wedgwood, an English potter. Wedgwood marketed this new product as Queensware after Queen Charlotte ordered a set. Gradually, creamware became more popular, and other English potters also began producing it. It soon replaced saltglaze stoneware as the preferred dinnerware for everyone except the high aristocracy, who likely used a service of Chinese export porcelain dishes.
