Set of Nine Haviland Limoges Vieux Paris Dessert Dishes France Circa 1876
$660.00This set of nine lovely Vieux Paris dishes was made by Haviland Limoges in France circa 1876.
The border of the dishes features pink and yellow flowers on a vine with green leaves.
Additionally, there is a gilded wreath of leaves along the border.
The center of each dish is decorated with a delicate circle of cornflower sprigs and gilded leaves.Dimensions: 7.25″ diameter
Condition: Very Good, with slight rubbing to the gilt along the outer rim.
Marks: The plates, each with the Haviland Limoges mark in use circa 1876 “CFH” in underglaze green

Set of 4 Dinner 4 Soup Dishes 2 Chargers 18th Century Imperial Vienna Porcelain
$560.00This lovely set of hand painted 18th-century Imperial Vienna Porcelain dishes features four dinner dishes, four soup/pasta dishes,
and a pair of chargers for serving.
The decoration is elegant.
Along the edge, we see a band of black darts and dots between lines of purple and gilt. The edge is gilded.
In the center, we see delicate sprigs of roses and other flowers painted pink, yellow, purple, blue, and orange.
The sophisticated, understated decoration is perfect.
Each piece is marked on the underside with the Imperial Vienna Porcelain shield mark.Dimensions: the dinners and the soup/pasta bowls are 9.6″ in diameter, and the chargers are 11.25″ in diameter.

Pair Bohemian Glass Saucers Hand -Blown Circa 1860
$235.00Hand blown circa 1860 this pair of Bohemian Glass saucers are little gems! .
We see a long-tailed songbird standing on rockwork, tilting his head up to sing his song out into the sky.
Around him are red leafy plants, and above is a blue sky all painted on milk-white translucent Bohemian Glass.
The center is encircled by a red band of geometric pattern.
The wide border shows three groups of flowers painted blue, red, purple, and gold.
The overall effect is charming!
The underside of each saucer shows a pontil mark where it was separated from the glass-blowing tool. -
Meissen Porcelain 18th Century Leaf Dish Hand Painted Circa 1770
$520.00This large 18th century Meissen porcelain leaf form dish incorporates the prevailing artistic trends of the time. Rococo art was known for its emphasis on asymmetry and naturalistic motifs inspired by nature, such as flowers. Meissen porcelain, in the Rococo style, was characterized by delicate and intricate designs. This dish was hand painted with vibrant hues, including pinks, yellows, greens, orange and purple. The colors were applied in a soft and blended manner, creating a sense of delicacy and elegance. The composition of the floral bouquets is arranged in an informal, loose style. The flowers appear as if they were casually gathered together, creating a sense of spontaneity and natural beauty.

These hand-colored engravings were printed in Germany on original 18th-century rag paper taken from the Histoire Naturelle des Oiseaux by Georges Louis Leclerc, le Comte de Buffon (1708-1788), with engravings by Francois Nicholas Martinet (1731-1804), published in Paris 1770-1786.Dimensions: 6 inches x 3.5 inches (8 inches x 10 inches including the matte)

Real Tennis Porcelain Figure Germany Circa 1820
$320.00This figure of an elegant young nobleman ready to play Real Tennis was made of German (Saxony) hard-paste porcelain circa 1820. Real Tennis, a favorite pastime of King Henry The Eighth of England, is also known as the Sport of Kings* The young man holds his racquet in his right hand, looking out at the imagined court. In his left hand, he holds a ball, which he is about to drop to start play. His costume is elaborate. It includes a feathered hat and a cape.

Condition: Excellent with a small firing flaw with original glaze in it on the bottom edge (see close-up image #7)

Pekingese Puppy The Imperial Breed 18th Century French Faience
$1,700.00The Pekingese is an imperial breed that has been cultivated for over 2000 years in China. They were only allowed to be owned by the imperial family and were kept in a marble pavilion atop silk cushions. They even had an official rank at court and were known for their self-importance. This breed is still famous for its imperial attitude.
We are excited to offer an 18th-century Rouen Faience figure of a Pekingese puppy. This charming puppy is beautifully modeled and painted with floppy ears, bulging eyes, and a topknot. He is seated on a green rectangular base. This lovely puppy will make a wonderful addition to any dog lover’s home and requires little care except for occasional dusting.
The Pekingese is described in traditional Chinese as follows: “Let the Lion Dog be small, let it wear the swelling cape of dignity around its neck, let it display the billowing standard of pomp above its back,” the “dropped pearls” of wisdom begin. “… Let its eyes be large and luminous, let its ears be set like the sails of war junk, let its nose be like that of the monkey god…”

Antique Faience Cabbage Form Soup Tureen Hand-Painted in Brussels Circa 1765
$8,700.00This faience soup tureen was made in the Philippe Mombaers factory in Brussels circa 1765; the cabbage tureen, its cover, and stand are painted in green tones with yellow highlights. The color combination is exquisite. The tureen is a gem of naturalism. Beautifully molded, the cabbage sits on a stand formed by cabbage leaves. The finial is in the form of a snail. Practiced gardeners know that snails are often found in the cabbage patch late in the growing season. A snail munching on this faience cabbage would have delighted the dinner guests when the soup tureen was presented at the table. Tureens in vegetable and animal forms were the height of a fashionable table setting in the Louis XV period.
Dimensions: 14″ diameter of base x 9″ tall Condition: Very Good. The snail’s antennae are restored. There are some very tiny losses to the glaze. There is a very fine, thin, professionally sealed hairline on the edge of the cover (See image #7). It can only be seen from the inside.

Pair of 18th Century Ludwigsburg Dishes

Mario loved flowers and he loved well-painted flowers on porcelain.This pair of Ludwigsburg dishes was made in Germany circa 1780. The outstanding quality of the hand-painted flowers is their exquisite liveliness. The flowers on the two plates are bursting with life! Hand-painted in monochrome purple each plate has a beautiful floral bouquet in the center and smaller sprigs of flowers decorating the plate as if they were strewn about.
The material is hard-paste porcelain.
Both dishes have the 18th-century factory mark of Ludwigsburg Porcelain which was two “C”s interlocked in blue, with one reversed, with a ducal coronet above as can be seen in images 7 and 8.

This exceptional pair of two antique porcelain figure groups of courting couples made with the grey-tinted porcelain for which the Le Nove factory was famous from the mid-18th century through the early 19th century.
In each figure group the man extends an arm for the woman. She looks lovingly at him as he smiles back at her.Dimensions of the figures: 6.75 inches tall x 3.5 inches wide x 3.25 inches deep
